Wedding Video FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions About Hiring Me as Your Wedding Videographer
When considering hiring me to capture your special day, you may have some questions in mind. Here are common inquiries along with their respective answers:
1. Do you offer multiple packages?
Yes, I offer three different packages tailored to suit various needs and budgets. The base package starts at $3200 and includes a 7-10 minute highlight video along with a sneak peek video.
2. What would you say your style is?
I prefer taking a documentary approach to my wedding films. I believe in capturing authentic moments without staging them. Your wedding day should be about being yourself, and I aim to reflect that in my videos, creating a narrative that truly tells the story of your day.
3. How do I book you?
To secure your date, I ask for a $500 deposit, which is applied toward your total package balance. Additionally, a contract outlining the agreement details will need to be signed. Payment can be made conveniently through an invoice sent via QuickBooks, or if preferred, through traditional methods such as cash or check.
4. How long will it take to get our video back?
As stated in the contract, the typical turnaround time is 6-8 weeks. However, I strive to deliver the final product in less than a month whenever possible, though this may vary during peak wedding season.
5. How long have you been filming weddings?
I have been capturing weddings since 2018, refining my skills while working with various reputable names in the Des Moines area.
6. After the initial deposit has been made, when will the remaining balance be due?
The invoice for the remaining balance will be sent two weeks prior to your wedding date and is due the day before your wedding. Payment in full is also accepted, though no discounts are offered for doing so.
7. Are videos delivered in 4K resolution?
Yes, all videos are recorded and delivered in 4K resolution, ensuring the highest quality imagery for your memories.
8. Do you use a second shooter, and if so, does that cost extra?
Yes, a second shooter is included in every package at no additional cost. This helps with logistics, capturing multiple angles, and ensuring comprehensive coverage of your special day.
9. How do you pick the music for the videos?
I have a subscription to Music Bed, a website offering licensed songs. The choice of music is influenced by the overall vibe of the wedding day, ensuring a fitting soundtrack that complements the atmosphere.
10. How will I receive my videos?
The final videos will be uploaded to Vimeo, and a link will be provided for viewing and downloading. This link can also be shared with friends and family for easy access to your wedding memories.
11. My fiancé and I are undecided about hiring a videographer. Why should we choose you?
While having a wedding videographer isn't for everyone, it can be a cherished keepsake for reliving memories and sharing with loved ones. My documentary approach aims to capture genuine moments that reflect the true essence of your special day.
